Health Issues Concerning the Use of Computers

Today, computers are used for a variety or purposes throughout the
world. They provide their users with information, communication, and
ways to process data. More and more, computers are being altered to
find new uses for them. The most widely used feature of a computer is
the use of the Internet.

Through different connections and networks, people can communicate
world wide, talk instantly to others, search information, and share
files over the Internet. Specifically, with instant messaging, users
can exchange instant message with their friends and coworkers online, as
well as exchanging files. The Internet has many benefits, but many find
themselves spending a great deal of time on the internet. Whether it is
searching information for work, emailing friends, or chatting online,
the Internet is somewhat addictive.

Many spend their time on computers in chat rooms, writing emails, or
talking instantly to their friends. As beneficial as this technology
is, it also has many health issues. Spending an excessive amount of
time on the computer can lead you to develop back and neck strain, or
even worse, carpal tunnel syndrome. Many businesses, often promote a
"correct" posture to have while working on a computer, since the work
world tends to predominantly use computers. This idea is also used in
many institutions, seeing as computers have a wide range of use. Who
know, maybe some invention will be created to find a way around most of
these health issues? For now, computers remain to be very popular‹most
of all, the Internet.

There are many health concerns with computers. I wrote on the same
topic as you and I found the information to be really surprising. There
are soooo many things that I continuously do wrong while sitting at my
computer. The information that you provided me was the same as what I
provided. THere are soo many health concerns associated with computers
and there just isn't enough awareness.

I personally think that computers are far too dominant in our world, and
our depency on them is frightening. From out daily tasks, to our loacl
and global communications, to our personal information, our lives are
embedded in the world of technology. Althouh the above article discusses
physical health issues computer usage can cause(i.e. Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome), I believe the real health threat here is a mental issue, more
importantly. Through computer usage, people become lazy, develop an
over-dependancy, and dinimish their human relationships through the use
of computers. To sum-up my point: If a great disaster struck right now,
and all our dependencies were left on computers, we society would be
stuck depending on inhuman process to try and save our lives. Therefore,
it is only through humans and our interactions that could save our
lives, our lives as a society were at stake.
